Sunny Saturday For Many

If you're planning to get out and about this weekend then today may be the best day to go for it as the weather is mainly dry, bright or sunny - particularly in the east. Temperatures today will respond to the sunshine with eastern parts hitting 18-22c typically, further west with the additional cloud it's likely to be a touch cooler with the mid-high teens the high. That cloud in the west will break at times for some so it's not all bad news, but there is also the chance it will be thick enough to bring some drizzly bits and pieces of rain - particularly into Western Scotland, NW England, Western Wales and across Ireland. In to tomorrow it's all change for many with rain pushing down from the northwest from the early hours. It'll be heaviest and most persistent in western parts and will make hard work of heading southeast through the day - tending to stick over the north Midlands, northern England and Wales into the afternoon and evening. Following on behind it will be sunshine and showers - with the showers most frequent in western Scotland. Ahead of it it's another mainly dry day for much of southern England and East Anglia - the cloud will be more prevalent than today though but even so some sunny spells are likely - especially in the east and here the temperatures should get into the low twenties again. Elsewhere in the country it's the mid-high teens once more. Next week starts on the cool side with northwest winds, and these wind will bring in showery spells of rain at times with the north and west of the country seeing the majority of them. Further south and east it's drier, brighter and warmer.
