Both Northern and Southern Ireland are also being affect by Storm Desmond, with flooding causing disruption here also. As well as the flooding, Desmond is bringing severe gales with gusts of 60-80mph in exposed parts of northern Britain, and Ireland.
There are still several hours of heavy rain, and high winds to come but a breather is in sight, with the rain due to clear away from the worst affected areas during the first part of tomorrow morning. Water levels may continue to rise for some time beyond that though, with so much to flow down.
