Hill snow and heavy rain for southern areas over the next day or so, and then more wind and rain with some brighter spells in between as the jetstream propels more low pressure systems towards us.

A low pressure system will pass over southern Ireland, Wales, south west England and the Channel heading south eastwards into France, bringing heavy rain and hill snow for many areas in Ireland and southern UK.  There will also be some strong, gusty winds for the far south west early tomorrow.  The jetstream is revving up again and we're going to be seeing another conveyor belt of wind and rain, with occasional hill snow over the next few days, but there will be some brighter intervals in between.
