Glorious Sunshine!

Bank Holiday Forecast with Michael Fish Michael Fish Forecast
If you're a glass half empty type of person you are probably bemoaning the fact that the rest of August has seen very little in the way of sunshine, and one decent bank holiday doesn't make up for that fact. But looking on the bright side, today (Bank Holiday Monday) is going to see copious amounts of sunshine with pleasantly warm temperatures, so it's time to make the most of what is left of Summer! The day has started on a fairly chilly note, and temperatures won't ever get up to heatwave levels, but highs of 18-22°c will be typical with the breeze easing through the day too. Many parts could just about see just about cloudless skies throughout, but there will be some extra cloud in eastern areas at times which could bring the odd splash of rain to East Anglia this morning, but that too should edge away by the afternoon. Overnight tonight with the clear skies, temperatures will tend to tumble, reaching single figures in many places - so if you're bbq'ing make sure you keep those coals glowing red into the evening to give you some warmth. Then into the new working week, with high pressure in control at least through to the end of the week, it stays settled and will even warm up a little with the mid-twenties being approached by midweek..
