Absolutely beautiful, even in the far south!

Ive had a productive afternoon..... gathered all the useful webcams to our East into a folder of shortcuts... saves trawling through loads most of which arent much use (facing the wrong way, too far south)

It's not looking good according to the Sat images with a constant stream of clouds from the NW

on a plus side,...there are great oppertunities into next week with high pressure influencing the weather and should be quite warm a night.

also,i must try and set my camera out better too cos that image i posted last evening looked shocking

I was lucky enough to have a bit of a view of what was a spectacular display, although I always imagine that the best was stuck behind the cloud

just enough for an obscured time lapse

there was some great photos from this morning

An again the most reliable cam to use for indicating a 2nd half display was the Flensburg cam.

Amazing detail, and they look almost overhead, nicely done ??

All the years I lived up north, I don't remember seeing any NLCs as visible as last nights display, or the 21-06-2019 display for that matter

I remember seeing small displays, but they were on the northern horizon. must not have been paying attention

Here are a few more pics from this morning, I managed to spend a bit more time editing them, as the NLCs were a bit washed out on my first attempt

I'm guessing that means not much is anticipated this evening?

I'm very happy if so, I really do need an early night

Seen a post about some NLCs over Eastern Poland about 5 minutes ago on FB. Absolutely shattered from last night though, kudos to those people who do these observations consistently as I really don't know how they manage it

looking like there was nothing around last night, in line with last nights daisy chart... so far its looking quite reliable as a predictive tool..

I spotted this for the first time on Sunday morning (2.30am) and wasn't convinced I was seeing NLC but wow what a magical display, sadly I was driving at the time and didn't stop to take any photos.

Cloud look like clearing, but not in time for an evenings display... maybe a dawn?..

lots of cloud on the relevant euro cams too...

Not likely tonight to see anything even if there is anything
