Frequent heavy rain showers yesterday which merged at times and a chilly feel out. Showers forecast again today, but perhaps fewer and farther between compared to yesterday with longer dry periods.

Overnight frost and cloudless skies to start the day. Beautiful. More cloud now but still very sunny and temp 5.3c

Deceptive out there. Abundant sunshine after an air frost. Cloud has bubbled up and despite light winds it feels cold. Temp 7.8 degrees. Conditions remind me of last April.

Yep a potent hail shower here as left a white covering...build up of towering clouds this afternoon was pretty impressive following a clear sky start with early frost.

Hear hear. Couple of hail/graupel coverings today. Nice to see....probably last chilly day tomorrow before turning gradually milder.

Walked to work in bright sunshine, walked home during a substantial hail/graupel shower, bounced off me but soaked my shopping through.  Not surprised to see there has been some lightning activity today, I didn't see any, I did notice a couple of times how dark it had turned outside.

What a weird day it's been, blistering sunshine & blue skies around Bakewell at midday (not fun whilst wearing a jumper & down jacket assuming it was going to be cold outside all day) followed by showers in Matlock and now snow as soon as i'm back home. I'm fairly certain today was supposed to be dry & bright with the ridge of HP building in.

Daughter reporting snow in Cheadle Hulme at 5.05, Had a flash of lightning and an almighty crash of thunder setting off car alarms.  Salt spreaders currently out and about in Macc.

Snow has settled on the hills around the Goyt & Flash Village this evening, could be tricky later on if the temps fall off below zero.

It actually ended up dry and mostly sunny here in daylight hours, so a decent day. Just had our first shower of the day.

Becoming gradually milder early next week, warming up maybe by the Easter weekend?

Anything above 15c that verifies will feel positively spring like after the chilly weather the last week or so though

Another frosty morning. Not as cold as this time yesterday. Current temp 3.7 degrees, frost has lifted, yesterday was 2.5 degrees still at 8.45am. A fine Spring Saturday ahead will feel a bit milder than recent days and light winds, pleasant conditions. Excellent for outdoor activities. Entering best period of year for outdoor activities in ly view roughly until mid June when heat and humidity typically makes them less palatable. Also this is typically driest time of year in Lake District. Great for Easter holidays.
