Nothing here

You didn't miss much to be honest. Wet flakes, but was falling for around ten minutes or so. Always nice to see snow though. I shouldn't think they'll be much more in this part of the region over the next few days other than the odd wintry shower. Some nice frosty starts and bright days to look forward to though as we head into the weekend.

Its been on/off snowing south of Buxton all day with evaporative cooling coming into play although it didn't particularly 'feel' cold outside with the max temp being 6.3'c,  the roads are clear and council gritters have been out along Long Hill & Macc Road with no issues to report.

I’m currently in the South of France and it’s been peeing down all day. They need it but I’d be fed up if we had thick snow at home if I’m away .

A very slight covering on the grass and cars this morning and I’d imagine a bit of ice about but nothing out of the ordinary.

the forecast is for showers from the east N/E today so we may see a bit of setting snow during daylight hours but I think the Pennines will swallow them up and the strength of the sun would probably stop most of what falls from settling anyway.

then it’s back to something a bit milder so in the end you probably haven’t missed anything.

Reports of heavy snow around Leeds area in the Yorkshire thread so no problem with the showers getting that far and the radar is showing a largish one happily crossing the Pennines towards NE Manchester so maybe a bit of interesting weather coming up for parts of our region.

Wintry shower commenced 15 mins ago and as left a decent white covering here...will enjoy it before the sun sets to work later.   Feeding frenzy on the hanging bird feeder...not sure the were expecting this after last week's costa-del-sol.

A bit of early morning snow has settled on the rooftops around here this morning with it being evident that the ground is still retaining some heat from last week's above-average temps, unsurprisingly Flash has seen settled snow on the ground around the village with Buxton just below freezing temp.

Our 1cm or so of snow just about hanging on in shaded areas. The 9am sunshine at the end of March quickly melting any snow exposed to it's rays. On this mornings walk to drop off at school its clear that there's more on the hills to my east than to the north. A view of Blackstone Edge over Littleborough with snow so far untouched by the sun.

Cold morning. Current temp 2 degrees. No snow showers overnight here. Wind direction not quite well aligned for Cumbria needs to turn more ENE.. but if anything it will turn more NNE as day wears on. We might see some homegrown convection though thanks to the building heat from the sun, will see what the day brings.

Snowline roughly 600m.

Had a covering on all surfaces early today. Didn't last long though - the power of the late March sun got to work on it.

In the northern Lake District low of -0.6c overnight. Slight snow covering at home, but higher fells plastered. A wonderful sight and few more days to come.
