A dry and clear night with a sheet of broken Ac moving in from the west towards dawn. A remarkable temperature inversion during the evening with the temperature in the screen rising to 9.2c by 1951 and then falling slowly, but erratically, for the rest of the night. The temperature on the mast 20 feet above the roof reached a max' of 11.6c around the same time whereas in the valleys there was thick frost.

A mild winters day with sunny spells. Strange day temps this morning when I left for work were 5 degrees but still a ground frost.

A sheet of broken Ac cleared by late morning to allow sunny spells. Cloudier again by late afternoon but much of the cloud cleared again after sunset.
