Watson w8686 lightning

Hi trying to add a lightning detector to Watson w8686 any ideas please as not getting very far with firmware

Are you definitely using the correct firmware? Should be this one https://osswww.ecowitt.net/uploads/20211231/HP2550V1.7.7.zip

What type of SD card are you using? Think only SDHC will work. SDXC won't work. Also make sure to format the card to FAT32.

You are unzipping the dowloaded zip file yes? Not renaming it user.bin

Hmm strange, can't see why it wouldn't work.

Would there be anything in the settings causing it not to update ?
