As long as it’s not your own poop

At this rate it might be- it’s getting spookily close & no longer IC in the distance but visibly close CG. Might go hide under my duvet!

I was watching the Southampton web cam and look what happened!  Watch from the top left.      (Sorry for the delay getting this here - techie struggles).

Is this ball lightning? It can't be a meteor because cloud covers the sky behind it. The path wavers, and it goes behind a cloud! All associated with a giant lightning outburst.

I can't see anything in the foreground to cause the phenomenon, nor does it look like an insect.

I didn't think there was much CAPE associated with this.

Bl**dy things. First they nick your chips, then they photobomb the webcams!

Doesn't need to be with the other factors making up for it.

A lot of lightning strikes the radars aren't picking up! Pretty much right above me now - thought this night was a bust but it definitely isn't! Am filming so will post clips/photos later!

I'll get a second opinion from Pecos Hank! Meanwhile that Southampton cam is delivering some nice lightning viewing, free from all forms of ball lightning.

(Which I have actually seen before, during a very electrical night in Dumfries and Galloway, in the 1970s. Now that did not go flying across the sky, just drifted slowly down. Weird sight.)

Good videos and footage, however, that French storm is an absolute mother!!! I’ve put these rough circles side by side just to gauge the thing.

Not so sure it's a seagull, that looks like it leaves a trail and we are currently in Perseid meteor shower season
