Looks like Harrow and Wembley got the brunt of the west london show just this hour. Had one rumble that was it.

yes that is my area and another one has arrived with more thunder and lightning than the previous one. This has hail and squalls in it.

Storm passed main centre just to the south but plenty of cracks of thunder and some cc lightning observed. Missed heaviest of the rain/ hail. Close but not direct hit...

A few more pictures of today's storms, the first two are recent and coming towards me.

Distant clap of thunder out of the blue here. Sounded like a distant positive strike

I thought I would have got the lightning in this but it must have been just out of view of the camera. Still a nice thunder sound

Bloody 'ell.

Was sat there looking at some scud inflowing into the storm to my NW and it absolutely exploded over me.

Dropped 6 mm of rain within the 10 minutes or so it was here.

I'll have to look at the camcorder footage and see if it caught anything worthwhile.

Couple of clips from during the peak of the storm and as it moved off.

Nice capture, Nothing beats the sound of thunder!

Was at work in Ferndown  so ended up missing it

Is likely to be it for the rest of the day?

I can see some potential towards Yeovil way. But I suspect it will be crud by the time it makes its way here

How depressing. All we got was a bit of heavy rain.

I'm watching that. Very little that's come from that direction has survived this far east and the one that did manage to which produced that thunder went into the channel and left me with light rain.
