I feel like getting my sad lamp out. It feels like November. Time to start the christmas shopping ...

We've had sunshine and patches of blue sky, possible benefit of sitting in the "eye of the storm"!

It has been a grand day here and feeling pleasantly warm in the sunshine

Saw a social media post from a mate who's currently down in Carbis Bay - looks like another world down there today compared to up here!

I was thinking it must have been 40mm in the last 24 hours, but 50mm doesn’t surprise me... it hasn’t stopped!

Was just about to say it’s started easing but it definitely hasn’t, starting coming down again now.

It actually ended up near 60mm! My station (Davis Vantage Vue) recorded 38.2mm today on top of the 19.6mm last night!

Me to myself yesterday morning  ; I won’t do any washing because it’s a bad day and tomorrow will be better.

Me to myself this morning ; should have done some washing yesterday on what ended up being dry, bright afternoon rather than have a mountain to deal with now while the effing front is lingering and producing showery rain as well as extensive low cloud!!

I beg forgiveness from Mother Nature! Stunning afternoon now with scattered large cumulus.

(Aforementioned washing drying very well ☀️!)

Not looking very convective so far. A lot of low cloud left over this morning.

Looks like we'll miss out this weekend, all forecasts are predicting us to be in the dry slot.

Some nice feisty showers in the area, one nice one over Ringwood..

image.thumb.png.533e9d5196bfc20987e3edda912c6b8b.png

Meanwhile some potential for some more showers later..

image.thumb.png.b54f51749da01ecc183f44e3215d0d53.png

The beach meanwhile is empty..

image.thumb.png.f9de4cfc9647991e97ac753b8567ca3c.png

Fingers crossed for some showers to break out over the area, mind you we are up to 3.8 mm so far today..

Cracking on with these showers, some really decent rainfall, now currently 17.2 mm, hopefully more to come..

A fair amount of instability as shown on the beach webcam..
