Kill me now ... End of weather report .

WHAT?....before your holiday?

Oh my,,,

It's not raining..

The sun is breaking through..

The breeze is from a warm direction..

There's no snow, ice, frost or anything inclement in the immediate future..

So what's wrong... Oh I know the hubby is still working from home, kick him out in to garden for a breath of fresh air...

Bit of an odd day really. Mostly cloudy, with the odd patch of very fine drizzle, but also some sunny spells. Quite breezy still. Temp managed 16.7°C.

You did well we managed 14.9°C at: 13:56. Noticed how the soil temperature is beginning to drop slowly, now down at 12.8°C

Morning All, the overnight low of 12.7°C at: 04:45 has made it all the way up to 13.1°C  with RH87%, and the breeze in from the SSW this morning, keeping things almost flat-lined all night. Pressure is still dropping as the effect of the next weather system is creeping ever closer..

Meanwhile from above the clouds it looks like this..

And below the clouds it looks like this..

Some patchy blue sky in there

Well that certainly confirms it's cloudy unless you live in eastern parts"

Quite bright here today with well broken fast moving cloud and strong southerly wind. Mild too as a result at 17 degrees. Won’t call it warm as the wind is like a recurring face slap...

34.5mm of rain in the last 12 hours, boy, this has been a wet month!

Still raining heavily now with a gusty wind which had caused quite a lot of debris on the roads driving back from Langport this evening.

Morning All, a cracking shower in the last 15mins dumped almost as much as the total overnight, with 3.8mm of rain at a rate of 2.8mm/minute, bringing the overnight total up to 10.2mm, expected more than that, but the heavier rain was to the west and north of us.

Meanwhile, the temperature again had almost flat-lined all night with the low of 12.0°C at: 04:01, creeping up to the current 12.4°C , RH91% with a gusty 24mph breeze in from the SW..

Above the clouds it looks like this..

The recent downpour looked like this..

image.thumb.png.3c0a708f8b236dfe9071b7ae0bdce57d.png

A very narrow yet intense line of rain..

And looking seaward..

image.thumb.png.164d84f6e51f45b0695ef478a87bfb08.png

It's looking stormy and choppy....

Still looking good out over the channel, as the day draws to a close, on the last Friday of the year when it is still light at 6pm, here come da winter...

And now the sun has dropped, Venus, just hovering above the cloud line to the SW (need to magnify)

Making quite a sight tonight Venus was joined with Jupiter an Saturn all visible in the same view area, but Venus has now dropped closer to the horizon.

A few showers bubbling up to the South

2021-10-29.thumb.png.e701d40aa31f4695766c6d04b26e2975.png

Perhaps those showers will increase later on as the front moves east?!
