Hmm, well looking at the GFS 10day it suggests we will still have a NE airflow, but that's usually moderated by the time it gets here..

However it "usually" manages some precip over the period, and look

ECMWF HRES for Thursday (Showers)

GFS for Sat (Bigger blobs!)

Cleared up nicely yesterday by lunchtime but it was less cloudy than now in the morning.

Just uniform grey this morning and very extensive on the satellite!

The weak cold front is now through here with a few minutes of drizzle and it’s now brighter although still overcast after being very gloomy earlier.

As noted, the "cold" front cleared through and now we are into a nice warming afternoon, with a 10mph breeze in from the E, after an overnight low in the single digits of 9.3°C at: 03:13, currently 22.2°C with RH55%

Now this looks more like Bournemouth in August, clear skies, calm seas, golden surf...crackin'

Looks fabulous that. Cheers for posting... from a dull dreary London.

Accurate forecast, for once.  John Hammond said he was confident that the front, and therefore the cloud, would clear by lunchtime.  Lovely day out there now, sky seems to be completely clear.

Well it fought and fought hard but the wind won. Touched 21 for a few mins but majority of the day it sat at 20c. Dropping now at 19

Aftera clear start, it then went ominously cloudy around 7am, and then that rolled away by around 9:15. Here's a photo of the back edge as it headed westwards...

Meanwhile overnight has reached a summer low of 6.8°C at: 06:23, lots of moisture on the car this morning, now currently 17.1°C  with RH69% and a 8mph light breeze in from the N...the beach surprisingly empty vconsidering the really nice conditions

OK where'd the sun go?

Hmm, that's a fairly long stream of cloud, which looks unlikely to thin, and it all started so well...currently 17.0°C ...

Cloudy all day, felt relatively cool at 18.3C, makes you realise how much warmth is still in the sun at this time of year when it appears. Hoping tomorrow is sunny and warm, but at least it’s dry.

Morning All, has everybody gone overseas for their "Fish & Chips", as the beach seems empty for a fine Bank holiday Saturday morning

image.thumb.png.0540424f1ea9267744344c61ddbd480e.png

Meanwhile overnight temperature way down in the single digit, with the low of

6.2°C at: 06:12, currently 15.0°C with RH79 % and a 10mph breeze in from the NE/ENE..

Certainly cloudy inland , but seems to be breaking along the coast, however the airflow direction may scupper this soon..
