Here is a video of our road to Southwold on Monday.

The car you see stuck in the drift, is still in the middle of the drift this morning

Which road is that Timbo - surely not the main Southwold Road coming from Wrentham? Covehithe route?

Yep the main road from Wrentham to Southwold, was impassable till Monday afternoon, some of the Drifts must be over 6ft tall.

Thanks. Must have been Sunday night I drove right along it coming from Southwold, guess it drifted a lot more overnight even though we didn't get any more significant snow.

Yep, definitely looks like some activity developing in the north sea. Wasn't expecting to see showers developing as far south as they are!

Everyone ready for round 2?

Obviously just for fun at this stage, but the models tonight are just beginning to show what the Met Office forecasts have been saying for the weekend commencing 20th February. Cooling down with a return of easterly winds!

Please no, the snow has arrived and its enough now, I just want the warmth to come with all the lovely spring nature coming out

Strangely that Easterly wind not letting up the fight that easily, thought by now we would firmly be in a South Easterly veering to SSE by tomorrow but most places still with East winds more especially the East Kent coasts and this is advecting in super dry air with some -9c dewpoints creeping over from France and Belgium.

When exposed to that wind it is harsh luckily the snow pack is so crunchy and iced over there is thankfully little chance of drifting otherwise there would be some impressive totals blown into North West and West areas exposed to this wind.

Fairly chunky sized flakes coming down here now. Nice little surprise to round off this cold spell! ❄️❄️

Weirdly there is nothing showing (for me?) on that promising looking French radar site

Meteociel propose le radar français de Méteo-France sous forme de cartes avec zoom dynamique.

Buienradar shows it though.

So we still have snow showing in a number of different places in garden. Really surprised at how the snow is sticking around

Its warmer than expected today. Was expecting another ice day but temp is already 1

Much less high cloud today is allowing stronger sunshine.

Only down to - 0.9 here overnight due to cloud cover...

Looks like mild weather is gaining traction now.. How much rain is associated with that is un clear yet..

Could be some quite nice weather next week if we get some sunny spells and no rain..

Expect a rapid thaw of snow by Monday as temperatures climb to 10 or even 11c in some areas! Positively tropical compared to what we have had this week..

Only managed one ice day here I think Monday or Tuesday..

I haven't been above freezing since it got cold, but I'm not sure about today yet. Was clear but very windy last night which kept temps up.

We've not had that much in the way of snow at all here, but I've noticed that today there's been more melting of the little bit we did have than the last couple of days....
