Snowing moderately here at the moment. Beautiful after a sunny and freezing morning! Is this the last hurrah? x

Looks like there’s two bands of snow, and I’m between them. Couldn’t make it up.

Does ppn build either side of that twig, or do just over it?

The bank heading through Essex is moving SW, but also shearing to the south. For those further west in Essex and London, don't build up your hopes of that reaching you.

the met outlook for us in ramsgate tonight is that we have forecast heavy snow from 6pm until 3am but.......bbc show us with the odd flake occasionally.... your guess is as good as mine !!

    I'd take that.

    Suns strength gone by 3pm.

    Then bring it on.

Snow falling after sunset would be much more preferable.

If we could then have freezing cold surface temps of the continent for a few days I'll have quenched my cold thirst and be happy.😆

    Yes agonisingly close

Sheerness to Canterbury and on through to East Sussex

To be fair this was my hit zone that I expect to get the most today. Coast Hugger then onto North Kent and the Central to East North Downs then exiting out into the Channel somewhere just east of Brighton

That last shower was literally 2 miles south of me!!could see the snow clouds rolling past me.think that will be the case all day for here.Sevenoaks/Tonbridge area could do well but band is quite narrow so really is a hit or miss affair!

still -0.1here at Locksbottom so 76hours made for sub zero temperatures but that looks it as next 30 mins will see us go positive 😕

-1.1c and -3.2c DP - heaviest snow of the spell so far. Thick flakes and lots of them, seems to be train of showers crossing the SE corner of the M25.

And yet here we're just having a very light snow shower 3 miles away! It's been frustrating looking at the radar over the last few days - we're either a couple of miles too south or today, a couple too north! We have a good ground covering but all through days of almost continuous very light snow, nothing heavy. As I type, it's stopped again.

After some heavy snow showers earlier on the skies are now partially clear again with some lovely Winter sunshine. Everything still frozen solid with a keen bitter wind blowing off the sea.

Some pictures and a video of this morning's snow show shower.

Yep looks bang on the money there👍(Agonising I miss out by 2-4 miles but you win some lose some-just needed a tiny bit more ENE element)

As expected really.. the convection point is a little more towards mid Kent.  So moisture there will raise and drop snow.. for our part of the world we are relying on them not breaking up before they hit us this will become increasingly more difficult for two reasons.

Pressure is starting to raise in our region and the convection point is difting southward.

For SE London and NW west. It's a wrap for snow on this spell..

Interestingly you probably have a better chance than us further North, if you look at the winds near Dover they were recently ENE so as the area of convergence and divergence moves south this afternoon the ENE element might drive the showers further west towards you, almost if you imagine the twig being NE to SW at the moment then the twig is ENE to WSW later on further south and the Meto Fax Charts showed this yesterday afternoon.

So dont give up hope down there yet
