The low cloud was completely gone by around 10am here (Well Huntingdon where I am working today). Very nice how with just some patchy fair weather cloud.

Tomorrow looks good with the winds south of east so there shouldn’t be widespread issues with low cloud (just shallow patches that form tonight). 25c possible to finish the month.

It has been a lovely day, despite my nit-picking at the forecast! Cloud was gone from here by 9.30an.

Been a lovely couple of day, burnt arms sitting in the garden for an hour this afternoon, breeze has picked up a little but as far as Im concerned been nice temps, not too hot not too cold and no rain, even the cloud cover later on this afternoon didnt last long. Few more days at least of the nice weather hopefully.

Evening all

Cloud broke in lowland East London around 11am and I can understand how frustrating it must be if you're on the coast and the cloud hasn't lifted all day.

Thought the E'ly breeze had picked up a little this evening  but that often happens on fine days - we get a nice cooling breeze off the Thames Estuary and leave the hot temperatures to west London.

It's probably my favourite weather type - fine, refreshing breeze, low humidity.

You can keep the heat and humidity - this will do for me for the summer.

Keep that HP to the north and a nice cool breeze.

Yes we have a lovely sunny morning, nice if you can find a sheltered spot outside or have a nice sunny place indoors we once again have a pesky chilly wind to spoil things. Have a lovely day everyone whatever you are doing.☺️

Starting to draw air from more of a southerly direction. Should see temps in the SE shoot up after a fairly slow start in places.

A slow start with low cloud burning off around 10am again. The temperature is already higher than yesterday at 21c and climbing.

Wasn’t forecast either!

Very irritating but such is the weather. There's also a big area of solid cloud forming to the south of London in the radar, typical

Looks like a convergence zone, possibly aided by some uplift from the Downs?

Hot, sunny and with a welcome refreshing breeze. Top temperature of 23C at 13:46, still 22C at 18:35 (at last check of weather station). Wind reduced to 3mph. 1018hPa, falling slowly.  A nice evening for walking the dog.

And in the end it stayed to the south of us and melted away

A sunny start today, none of the low cloud nonsense of the previous days. Hopefully we should reach the mid twenties today. Somewhere could see 80f reached.

Quite a few places already at 24C - so highly likely I’d say.

Beautiful sunny, warm day.

Bit of an odd gusty breeze has just started though.

May in a nutshell…

pretty darn poor.

Luckily June has started off a lot better, just a little patchy cloud forming during the afternoon. The temperature has just about scraped to 25c today.

Perfect weather, warm but with a cool breeze, not very humid or hot and clear blue skies, can we have the rest of the summer like this please? It's been mentioned that this year is following the same weather patterns as 2010, apart from the coldest December since the last ice age (well 100 years), what was the rest of the summer like I wonder.

On this first day of summer, my weather station recorded a high of 25C at 14:24. Current temp is 22C. Humidity a wonderfully comfortable 49% Wind ENE 3mph. Pressure 1013.5hPA steady

If only the rest of June would replicate these perfect (for me anyway) conditions......
