Nothing here. I’m watching all those really heavy showers drifting down from the north east and all tracking to just a few miles south of me. I’d have seen a really good event here if the wind had just slightly more of an easterly element to it.

Barely lasted a minuet.  Enough to make it look like the car roof's have a bit of hail on 'em (quite large bits, just under 5mm in size but still soft enough to squish).  I'm currently drooling in the direction of the one just south of Manchester and wishing it was here  .  Pity our 'streamer' basically died off just as it began to reach us.

I'm on the same line

There's some good activity forming just off the coast at Mablethorpe. Should be with us in a couple of hours.

There some decent showers heading in by the looks of it.

Interesting chart,  as I think it was DWW pointed out that the shape of the showers centred on the Humber do look a bit like a low (polar?) is forming there., with its bottom just by the Wash and its top on Scarborough beach.

Interesting to watch over the next couple of hours.

Question is which way will it head?

Shower activity is getting beefier over the North of England, Could it catch us?

Not to sure about us  but North of Brum and the one that’s starting above that streamer

That other one gave a pretty good downpour of graupel and snow for such a little shower. A nice top up.

Makes me wonder how heavy the really beefy showers must be, because the much weaker ones we’ve had have been really heavy.

We got stuck in a train of showers all day yesterday, heaviest in the evening, with flurries still on going. Approx 4" deep of lovely powdery snow whereas 7 miles down the road where I work its pretty much clear. Small margins and a lot of luck!

Was thinking that myself.... Tomorrows charts have a definite N Easterly, maybe this has formed on a line of convergence?
