Well let’s have a bit of fun. By 5pm on Wednesday 10th Feb predict your snow depth  I’m going for a dusting barely measurable - say 1cm. Let’s go for concrete in back or front garden.

Ill say dusting here, snow but less than 1cm

Is it worth reading to much into these charts and forecast or does Cumbria come under a nowcsst depending what makes it over the hills

The system isn't moving in from the east, its dropping from the north through Dumfries and Galloway, need go look to the north and how the front moves, it wont be forced east as it is being forced west..so can only drop south.

For most of us, snow pilling across east to west as that low slips South Saturday & Sunday.

At least we’ve been allowed to buy a ticket to this gig, just a shame that it is seats allocated on arrival and we don’t know whether we will be sat at the front or in tier 3 with an obscured view of the stage.

I hope that’s not the northerly limit or the eastbound carriageway of the M62 will be as far as it gets.

No it wasn’t ... if it stalls then the next image showed it all further north and covering all our region.

Presumably that Atlantic Low out to the west careering to into the cold air could give us a severe snowstorm, might be as a breakdown but would be quite a nice progression if we got an easterly first then that Atlantic low careering into the UK.

Any chance of it reaching Turf Moor in the next half hour and dumping a couple of feet of snow in the Burnley half.

that said they’d probably still lob it over Popes head and into the goal

Now that looks better although the stills don’t do Susan Powell any justice.

she looks like she’s just won a months enforced watching of Emmerdale

Bank

No doubt a bit of wriggle room here and there not wanting to but a downer on things but its going to happen sooner or later but models now agreeing  on a breakdown Thursday so looking like a bitterly cold 5 days before the Atlantic gets back in but boy the breakdown looks like giving big falls as it hits the cold air.
