Got under a bit of a streamer overnight which has left a covering and plenty more showing up in the east.

Its definitely a day for now casting where a couple of miles could make the difference between next to nothing and a dumping.

Another one here left with a slight covering from overnight showers.  Very light but flakes are more meatier than the snow grains from yesterday.  Radars looking hopeful - Pennines not completely killing them off infact some showers are taking on a life of their own once they cross over.  Good signs...met app has heavy snow showers around lunchtime.

Showers have managed to go either side of here so far, such is often the way with these things. Hopefully we'll see something today.

Showers dying out as soon as they hit Wirral. One or two flakes when they hit but they have more or less died out by that point

Just after I typed the last post, we now have a light snow flurry, flakes rather than grains. Encouraging to see that whilst showers are losing some intensity, they are making it all the way across.

Lol, just checked the Met Office forecast for my area , no precipitation symbols for Friday and snow symbols for Saturday morning.

Thu Fri  front magically disappears on reaching the IOM at +102

In 2018 no shower got here with ‘greens’ still in it.

About 7 flakes of snow stuck to the door mat which have drifted against the door exposed to the NE wind. A good start.

Woke up to the slightest of dustings flakes on the bin & borders kind of thing now light snow showers falling but way too light to give a covering yet. Feeling bitter.
