After a cloudy and cold morning, it’s turned into pretty much a repeat of yesterday other than yesterday being spent mainly out walking with today being busy in the garden.

worth the effort though with the lawns having their first cut of the year and a large area of decking power washed and then painted.

downside was a microwave curry as we couldn’t be bothered to make one and now it’s a couple of beers followed by a bottle of red.

nowt to get up early in the morning for

Well the GFS still keen on slamming Arctic -13C uppers into us on Monday, it's going to be jolly cold but I think this will be a dry northerly. Nothing unusual though as it's usually northern facing areas that get snow from these set ups and not us (unless there's definitely going to be embedded troughs in the flow). Northern Scotland, N Wales, N Ireland, N York Moors could get a decent covering out of this though.

Aye after the warmth of the last few days it is certainly going to be a shock to the system.

Another glorious day after the initial cloud burnt off. Spent a socially distanced afternoon up in the hills in Saddleworth. Temperatures much lower than midweek, but was pleasant enough in the sun in shelter from the wind.

A lovely spring day, better than yesterday as we lost the chill wind. Blue skies, sunshine, temp 14 degrees. Excellent walking weather.

Should be a frost overnight. Tomorrow looks decent until later in the afternoon when cloud moves in, ahead of the cold front. Doesn't look like we will see much precipitation, perhaps 2-3 hours of rain, followed by a bitter wind.

Monday will most likely dawn the same as tomorrow morning, but will feel very different. Brrr.

Thick fog first thing here but it’s cleared to just grey cloud and similar conditions to yesterday morning now.

Glorious start to the day here, with wall to wall sunshine and another fine day in prospect. Big plunge in temperatures by tomorrow as the Northerly digs in with a sub-zero real feel. Fax charts look less potent in terms of potential snow shower activity which looks to have been shunted East. It will be interesting to see what may be produced by daytime convection though.

Slightly overcast here through the morning, hopefully more sunny spells will break through early this afternoon before the northerly plunge last evening and into tomorrow.

Met Office text forecast saying "occasional snow showers" tonight. Can't see that myself as the cold air conductive for snow doesn't really reach us until around dawn so looks like they've given control to the new graduates again.

After 6 am conditions are conducive for snow but underwhelmed with precipitation prospects and convective parameters. WRF wants nothing.

It was bit foggy this morning for a very early Easter Sunday stroll in the western Peak District, soon brightened up by midday with intermittent cloud and a slightly higher temperature *marginal* than yesterday. Bed Blanket and radiators being prepped hopefully for the last time until late Autumn comes back around in a good few months time.

Not been a bad day really after a chilly start of -2.4C. Max so far 12.7C.

Probably looking at no more than 5C tomorrow same on Tuesday.

Would expect our area of the region to at least see a few snow showers next couple of days

After the last couple of days, today was a bit of a let down up here with only limited afternoon sunshine and a nagging breeze giving a cold feel to the day.

temperature reached 9c but it wasn’t pleasant painting in the garden although probably a lot more pleasant than it will be tomorrow with that bitter northerly.

Nothing particularly mild on the horizon really with heights anchored to our NW it's always going to be difficult to get some proper warmth. It's not looking like a warm April or even average at the moment. I'd be surprised if we ended up with an above average CET at the end of the month, I think it'll be slightly below the LTA. There's going to have to be a dramatic turnaround after mid month to bump the figure up.

The great weather last April was probably the only thing that kept most of us sane during the depths of lockdown 1

it certainly helped me find something to do while being on furlough was something of a novelty but 12 months later, the weather is going to do precious little to help a situation where the only contact we can have with family and friends is outside.

there will be a lot of thick coats coming back out of the wardrobe again and probably a lot of huddling around patio heaters when the pubs finally open again next Monday.

Without snow this spell will be pointless. Sunny and low 20s would do for a couple of weeks just to lift spirits a bit.
