Picked up 24.4mm at 10 BST for previous 24hrs rain.  Thought  there would have been much more from the way it was thumping down midnight -- early morn.   Been tempted to peg out washing, but now a fairly beefy shower put a stop to that.

A real quirky first half to 2021 it has been for the region

3rd driest April, 2nd wettest May, 7th driest June

April was colder than March, minimum wise,  it was colder by 2.4C.

Temperature was up and down through January and February, on one day it was 12C with heavy rain by evening it was 0.3C with heavy snow that lay.

It’s been a very topsy-turvy year that’s for sure. Be interesting what the rest of the year has in store for us.

The interesting thing about that April figure was that most of it was snow here!

Despite having a June 1.6C warmer than normal we haven't actually reached 25C yet. I can't remember a single year where we haven't reached 25 by now.

Yes I think even 2012 had reached 25C during that hot spell at the end of May 2012.

Dark and gloomy this afternoon but no rain at all today..... yet!

Nowt worse than a gloomy day in the middle of summer. We get enough of days like that in the winter!

Same here, we had almost a foot on snow on the 10th so that must have accounted for nearly everything we had in the month.

2. February 2020

3. November 2015

Had lovely weekend with wedding in Stroud and 23c sunny, brought nephews (groom) mother from California up to glossop and took her for walk around derwent and ladybower yesterday… sunshine and humid to thunderstorms and constant rolling thunder and close lightening… really chucked it down for half an hour… lots of soaked cyclists/walkers and DofE teenagers… safe to say she loved Derbyshire leg of lamb from mettricks

I'm surprised July 2007 is so low down. I remember it raining virtually every day. I wonder how they would stack up looking at number of days with rain over a certain amount.
