Nowhere near it’s only because the ground is so wet and it’s in depths of winters minimal evaporation there’s such problems.

Surprising there are likely so many floods, I had not thought it was especially wet beforehand.

Jo, I'd be really concerned about the Severn Valley looking at those numbers - places like Bewdley and Tewkesbury as the water comes off the North Welsh mountains.

So many river levels in the north west are at their highest eve levels. Too many to mention.  Many around Warrington. Hopefully rain will ease over the next few hours, but still moderate currently.

Shrewsburys first, I would be packing my bags now!!

On the Dee, I have never seen the water coming through here at Llangollen  like it is now.

Fifth Severe flood warning this evening - Bangor on Dee routes closed and other roads in Wales. 2 Merseyside, 2 Didsbury. Warning of ice overnight in all these areas as temperatures plummet. Terrible conditions as torrential rain heads east over England and behind the front.

For evacuations - it's late, it's dark and cold. COVID, goes against everything people in Gt. Manchester have been told since July. And now snow and ice. Blimey, what a decision

River levels very high here with the A6 through Rowsley/darley bridge/Matlock & Ashford in the Water all impassable and roads shut off. The Derwent and Wye rivers won't peak until this evening so things will get worse.
