Its also gone so quiet on here as well, the rivers here in mid Norfolk not really gone down since the floods at Christmas...lots of the flood plains are full so not sure where it will all go. However weather quest said the far east of the region will escape the worst of the  ? this week  so hopefully the rivers will cope...I reckon we we be seeing devastating news In the northwest by Friday

Lets hope it is not as bad as feared, not sure the country can cope with a flooding crisis at the same time as a covid crisis and lockdown.

Grim Rainfall Totals

Its not a question of "if" but WHEN the RED ALERT Warnings are dished out for the next 3-4 days. Lets just thank our lucky stars we are not in those affected areas but I fear for areas of Wales and the NW Of England

That mod thread is just a joke now, there's 2 in there that post absolute tripe, Boom charts, and stuff out at at t300, that's nailed on to verify

We are just in the Amber area for rain now.

River Gt Ouse is already high and experienced some flooding locally on Christmas Eve.

We got an automated call to take immediate action, but fortunately for us the river only just lapped on to the quayside.

Evening all,

Liking the 12z UKMO Tonight, a little further tweak South, could see a Rain > Snow event, for quite a lot of our Region.

Certainly something to keep an eye on.

Its a worry Paul

the emergency services are so stretched already, now they may have to deal with flooding and the aftermath of it. How do they evacuate people and keep them socially distanced? I really do feel for everyone who might be affected by Christoph

Yes I noticed that Tom.Ideally like it about another 30-50 miles further south and it could get quite interesting.About time something favourable happened for the SE Contingent❄️

Yh huntso and Mick

The source of this air is always a massive worry when you have Tropical Origins and a conveyer of moisture. The Red Alert from a few years back that the Met Office nailed a similar timeframe before is very much like this set-up and that was some of the best forecasting I have ever seen from our Met and I gave them due praise for that at that time.

Hoping its not as modelled and our North Western and Welsh contingent get away lightly but the Models are trending even worse the last 24 hours. It looks like Christophe is going to be newsworthy

Make sure you get that fixed before your next MOT, it's a fail believe it or not.
