Look out my window and NOTHING. Bone dry

Same as last night, a lot of the precipitation is not reaching the ground! So it looks heavy, but infact dry

Wow, I Have just seen a chink of blue sky in the lead grey cloud. But it quickly filled in again, but is this cos the air is starting to dry out a little. I Do feel a change in the air this morning.

Brother-in-law in Athens reported snow falling outside as he Skyped us wrapped in a blanket as it was too cold; two days previously he swam in the sea! We have that drizzly rain here that soaks you.  I am very disappointed; better luck next time I suppose....

Also @stainesbloke, so sorry to hear you have Covid again; I hope you recover speedily and without any long-term effects.

On a lighter note, Sammy Snowman and his fiancee Samantha Snowlady, arrived safely back in the U.K., Yesterday.

They are now safely holed up at their home in Snowdown, near Dover.

But just as many of their peers, thousands of Snowmen around the Northern Hemisphere are sacrificing themselves in a Sudden Snowman Warming. As can be seen in the graph below, their core temperatures are rising rapidly:

Sammy and his friends will soon become a squelchy mess:

This selfless action by Sammy and his friends has alerted the attention of a dreaded foe, though.

Pernicious Victor has enlisted the help of a few of his Allies.

P.V. has called on his Friends, Jett Stream and the unscrupulous Girlfriend of Peruvian gangster, El Nino -

Ms Nina, has a record as long as her arm, in criminal actions against preventing Wintry Weather affecting the U.K.

But Sammy and his friends also have allies to call on for help, the Beast From The East -

and the Dwarf From The North - image.png.b00ad8563312954491b3f247e36c80a2.png

Just like Dr.Who, Sammy and his Fiancee are hoping to regenerate into healthy incarnations of their former selves, and be able to frolic around in the Snows of East Kent, in a few Weeks time.

Let battle commence and hope that Sammy and his friend's selfless actions, will overcome the terrible trio.

Regards,

Tom.  :snowman-emoji: ❄️

Thank god the wind is swinging more N'ly/NW'ly tomorrow. That should end this endless rain train.

A few cold, dry and perhaps frosty nights to see out the week, before we have a bit of a pattern reset as the trop starts to respond to SSW1 of potentially 2.

Lets see what the mid-late part of January brings...

Madrid is at 650m altitude and continental.

If London had that altitude, we would get snow frequently every winter.
