I personally don’t think any of the models will be right. There’s so much going on up there atm how can any of them know what’s going to happen in a week on the ground? All bull I’m afraid and will be for a few more days yet while they get to grips

I totally agree with this. So much going on in the background that no model has a confident grip on what’s going to happen beyond T72-96

06z GFS has a very snowy outlook ❄️❄️❄️ especially at the end of this week and into next weekend....the iso (m) dam line run is impressive, after today it never gets above the crucial 528 (if it gets above this you are not seeing snow)

Ive seen the gfs be the only model with a certain outlook and be proved right more times than i can remember. Not saying it will be this time but its absolutely possible and shows past 96/120 nothing is set in stone yet.

IRA 252, If you mean the Corona/Model thread .....I’ve seen time and time again when looking at the models and they are showing uncertainty, one showing a mild outlook an another going for cold, it’s best to keep out of the model thread.....like a load of kids 🙄

From around 3am the majority of the midlands is likely to see snow from any showers which the NMM predicts quite a few of. 🌨️

If we're lucky a bit earlier, 7pm colder uppers arriving, good to see sky clearing, may help to keep snow! drip drip may stop

Yeah most of the snow out of sheltered spots has melted now. Probably 10 to 20% or so remains

I’m not dripping, just dribbling looking at that 👅

I believe the next 24 to 36hrs will be crucial in seeing what the outcome will be, Cold or Milder is the Q come the end of the week 🤔

    • Cold waves hitting Europe continue to threaten growers, is there a link to climate change?

Much of Europe, not just the UK, has experienced unseasonably cold weather since the Easter Weekend. A plunge of cold arctic air brought by northerly winds early last week brought several nights of frost and even snow across large swathes of Europe, followed by another wave of cold arctic air spreads across much of Europe this week. The frosts causing damage to new growth in vineyards and orchardsa0spurred on by a late March heatwave, the vineyards of France werea0particularly badly affected.

High pressure rules, but still chilly out the sun & watch out for a few showers

High pressure in charge for the rest of the week but the airmass will be chilly, so feeling nippy out of the sun. Not entirely dry either, with scattered showers around the next few days, especially in the west. Read the full update here

You'll need your coat because it's still cold out of the sun

More April snow for Monday morning with a widespread frost. If you have outdoor plans this week, the chill in the air remains especially once the sun goes down. Read the full update here
