sheikhy, been amazing, next 2 days hopefully not much melt, FAX, GFS and EC the main models does have the Atlantic winning, I'd say snow chances before Saturday very low, then interesting again

Still not seen a flake this winter  what hurts more, is the Midlands (West and East) is where I’m usually based!

If it holds - IF it holds - we could actually get more these evening than we had this morning.   But not expecting more than a dusting.   Still, if we get a good frost afterwards good be nice for photos tomorrow

Snow back here too since around 4pm.Now quite heavy.8/9cm lying now .This is turning out to be quite a significant event for many of us.

how many CM would you say we have had here in Hinckley?  It looks loads but dont think we have reached the 13 cm Leicester are reporting!!

Its been snowing here in south east leicester from 11.15am and still going!!

Band added enough to cover the cleared bits as it sank, seems to have stopped and most importantly trodden in/driven on bits that were slushy this afternoon are crunchy now and the moon is coming out. Haven't seen a good freeze following snowfall for a while...

Got about 6-7cm, I'll take that no problem especially as the fear of it missing by 20 miles to the opposite direction from yesterday was preying on my mind before...

Looks good for another couple of hours. Maybe more if the Easterly picks up a bit more and brings the snow from Lincolnshire this way.!

It is already strong enough to blow the snow off the roofs around here.

maybe a few flurries following from the north? but nothing been falling on blue colours, an hour or so before main band arrived at around 9.30
