Oddly now back to sleet/rain in shrewsbury. White over roads just a slushy mess now but it’s still hanging on on cars.

Expect to wake up to nothing to be honest.

Well, that was an anticlimax! Just after I last posted, the temperature fell to 1 °C and it started snowing. After 4-5 minutes, it stopped snowing. Now back up above 2 °C and very light rain. Thrilling stuff.

Its still snow in Bomere Heath, did go light and start slushing up where the puddles had been but still covered everywhere else. Seems to be going back to bigger flakes, radar suggests its not over.

Hope we don't see another of those phantom temp rises as soon as it stops snowing, there is clearly cold air around that was potent enough to turn 10C and rain to sticking snow, it should be embedded enough behind the system to keep the temp down overnight at least

Suddenly no sound on the skylights... instantly white outside! Hooray

Very rapid turn around

Really shows the West to East boundary as the cold air undercuts.

Must be a town vs Country thing because it’s just rain here, slowly washing it all away. Roads clear other than slush. Can see it falling off cars and surfaces too. Temp has to have crept up a bit. Hanging on the grass but the complete white over we had is long gone now.

Glad it’s good out in the sticks though

Still the continual rain isn’t going to help flooding issues over the next two days...

Sleet/snow here!? Did not think that would make it this far East

settling a bit on cars but ground is really wet.
