I’m up for a spot of radar/lamp post watching. Nothing seems to making it to ground from the light precip that’s shown on radar.

Met now showing a snow -> sleet event, so at least that’s upgraded to one snow icon!! We’ll see.

I do this year on year...stay up for the 'big event', only to be greeted by rain, time and time again...

That's harsh! Bet the upper boundary layers are really close together. Could be anything from rain to hail to freezing rain to snow.

I went out for a walk about 2 hours ago and there was some frost on the cars and on decking. But temp is now between 1C to 2C in the bay, and up to 3C in Brixham.

Am I seeing a more northern tilt on this front already? Or do I need to make a coffee? Looks like the beginning of a pivot but its way too early for that isn't it?

I think it's pivoting into a curved line through the Cotwolds. Chances of decent snow for Cardiff and Bristol are increasing, I think.

I’m liking the look of the intensity coming up through Devon and Somerset, at least it’s not having to come over the Bristol Channel. Fingers crossed we might see a centimetre or two.

Some heavy echoes on the radar near Taunton and if I’m not mistaken that looks like it’s heading straight for Weston, surely it’s snow this time ❄️⛄️

Weather app says snow, not that I trust it, sat in my car with the heating going & outside temp currently - 1, hard frost on cars still.
