It does seem even bigger flakes than 50p it really is incredible

it is settling nicely but any time it gets lighter it tends to melt on the ground a little bit although the ground is still white it would’ve been perfect had all of this started about 6 o’clock this morning when there was a frost 

 

last week I couldn’t believe how quickly the 6 cm that we had fell.

that was literally in the space of an hour and a half but this seems heavier than that ,although to be honest it’s daytime now and it was difficult to see last week as it fell in pitch darkness. 

still really nice to see it though. 

 

congratulations to everybody else getting it add to the Cardiff people getting an inch already. it could go that way here I guess it’s definitely been sitting on the grass here about a centimetre looking out

Heavy snow here in Westbury but dp going the wrong way Can understand how those in the Midlands felt yesterday watching it come down but do nothing. What a waste.

Well the radar is definitely showing bands of precip, so whatever falls will be a bit on/off, but could be very heavy snow for some when on!

Moderate snow here in bradford on avon for about half an hour now but not settling. 

My weather station temperature is 3.4c which is somewhat suspect given snow steadily falling it surely cant be that high.

I've found the radar to be strangely innacurate today, anyone else? Should've been under moderate / heavy snow for the past 15-30 mins but only seeing bits of dandruff

A degree or so colder, or even later in the afternoon, and we could have had a nice little dusting here now.

Such a shame it's not settling, getting on for 2 hrs now of snow.
