Defo has got more intense so still coming your way everyone else, stay safe on the roads peeps!

I'll definitely need to stay safe tonight if it is still lying. Have deliveries for the local indian restaurant.

Picking up a bit here too, whiteout really but still small powdery flakes. Pics don't really do the drifting justice.

Went outside there and its like a scene from siberia. This might sound silly but its very different snow to our usual north westerlies. Anyway latest observations show over 6 inches in sheltered spots, more in deepest drifts.

Great photos and videos.....you guys are getting hammered up there......I went to bed at 1am here and roads, grass, cars everything was white with a blizzard raging .....temp had dropped from 3 degrees to 0 in biting wind....as expected woke up to green grass and sleety rain with temp back up to 3 degrees ....got about 4 hours of snow though when models were just giving sleet for my area so can't complain......on to the next chase ha

I wonder if there is something wrong with the Castlederg station. It recorded heavy snow for 5 6 7 8 9am reports yet it didn't register snow accumulations until 8am. I'm to the West of there but had a couple of cm when I woke at 5.30am.

8am had 3cm

9am 6cm.

I’m not far from castlederg and can confirm nothing really started settling until about 7am with me.

Still snowing light and it has left the ground wet. Hoping it doesn't turn into a slush fest.
