Ladies and gentlemen you are not going to believe it. After a wait of almost 3 years... 😮

I don't suppose I have anything to complain about this winter...      .

I've waited years to get a picture of the house covered with snow.  Finally!

Check out the Traffic Scotland A68 webcams at Soutra 1200ft and Carter Bar 1350ft. Suspect the snow line will be dropping through the night and a good covering across central parts of the borders and far south of Lanarkshire could be on the cards by morning.

Snowing also now on the Nine Mile Burn cam on the A702 which is about 970ft.

Just as well we got out today! Crikey, that was a bit abrupt. A small hill near Glen Affric... We walked on a forest road, then ploughed up through heather and snow to Carn Fiaclach for some rather misty views.

Anyway that'll be the lot for a while.  The temp here has been a steady 1C from dawn till dusk. No zombies though, yet.

    Ugh, you lucky sod! 😉

awwww if I could smuggle you over to Canada then I would...although it's fairly mildish here at the moment. Down to our last foot of slowly thawing snow and sometimes sunny single digits max temp days with overnight frosts:

I'm now completely 'stuck' here as there is no point coming back to a country in full lockdown. On top of this, thanks to Brexiteers, I need a visa to be allowed to just change planes at Amsterdam. And can't get a visa due to EU Covid rules.

We have cocktails here if that's your tickle but we also have perfectly legal herbal products. I don't drink but I have had a relaxing few weeks testing some special chocolate 🤣

    Get straight tae....😂😂😂

Tiny shower just passed over here with fluffy powdery snowflakes. Only lasted a few minutes unfortunately.

Overnight low of 0.8C and max of 1.5C, so showers of sleety wet stuff was the order of the day here. Nothing new lying but a couple of inches of icy crusty compacted concrete remain!
