Ladies and gentlemen you are not going to believe it. After a wait of almost 3 years... 😮

I don't suppose I have anything to complain about this winter...      .

I've waited years to get a picture of the house covered with snow.  Finally!

I can say there’s also a mix of snow and graupel here. It sounds different from normal snow. All surfaces covered with fresh snow.

Heavy snow now switched to freezing rain. Oddest sound. Sounds like hail hitting the window. Outside it’s tinkling on everything as it falls, the drops are frozen where they land, yet if I stick my hand out it’s wet.

It’s the strangest noise isn’t it

The sound of freezing rain is amazing, reminds me of Christmas Day 2010.

Think we've got some freezing rain here too. Not something i've experienced much but it looks like a dull frosty sheen on cars and exposed bits of pavement and sound like light hail showers on the windows.

Yeah there's a yellow warning out.

Icey/freezing rain here, sounds nice and the car is covered in it, but glad I'm not driving!

Started snowing quite lightly again around 45 minutes ago but has just changed to a mix with small ice pellets. Can now hear the tinkling others have mentioned earlier. Temp now only just under freezing at -0.1C

Another ice day here. A low of -4.4C and max today of -1.0C. Some further snaw this arvo, then went off for a few hours, before coming back on again after dark and giving us another covering.

Sledging again today. Young Master PG is going to miss the regular weekend snawy fun when it finally melts, wee winter maniac that he is.

Currently -2.3C /-6C here, eerily still and cloudy but nothing falling from the sky (other than Scotland's dreams crashing yet again in the 6N...).

Probably! There is definitely some disagreement in model guidance on what happens at the end of next week. But this is is a bit silly.

Bit of a change this morning! 8C! Snowfall yesterday lasted all of 10 minutes, very light powdery stuff. Now we have very blustery winds, yesterday had a gust of 43.7mph. Today scheduled to be even windier. At least it isn't freezing today which is a plus! Can hear things rattling about outside, so best go and investigate!
