The UKMO and ECM have the flow more E/NE - here is UKMO

Given the isobars being so clustered id be surprised if there aren't troughs that develop in that flow with more organised bands of snow pushing well inland but they wont be modelled until nearer the time id guess although those 'barbed' trough lines are already on the 120 faxes as Kirkcaldy mentions above ...

More SE in direction on the 12z even on the meto, I’ve seen it so many times you’ll watch the showers passing to the North and we end up with just flurries and not that far up in fife they have 6 inches, Edinburgh definitely needs the wind to be ENE 🥶

As I suspected would happen -

by telling you guys that it was snowing and settling.....

    Temperature 0.6C

Snow on the ground rapidly vanishing, and nothing falling out of the sky.

It's been wet and wild all day here - it was so loud last night it woke me up!  However, I've also got water inside too, as the kitchen roof has sprung a leak - brother is on his way to look at it (he works at a plumbers) so fingers crossed it's nothing serious!  I did see a few flakes at times but I'm still rather nervous about the next few days - let's just wait and see... oh, and I think we should all move to Braemar lol!

Some major upgrades on the current weather here according to the aptly named 'Accuweather' - from 5C to 2C in 20 minutes 😂The fact it was sleeting outside was maybe a tip off that something went badly wrong with whatever model they were using, but a little bizarre all the same.

Accuweather has been reporting heavy snow at location for something like 36hrs+ now! "Superior Accuracy" indeed 🤣🤣

2018 was still bloody good, but not nearly as good as it should of been.
