What I'd call "lazy snow" has been falling for the past hour or so but at this rate it will take until next week to accumulate to even a covering. Better than rain though.

Cold but certainly not freezing, drizzle, and the constant drip drip drip of melting snow. 
 

XC weather off on one for Tuesday!

Having said that, both the met office and bbc showed rain for me overnight, and only XC weather suggested snow. It was snow in the end, just not the quantities XC weather suggested.

I would take it too!   Although by Feb 12th, that chart will probably be but a distant memory!

Sky filling in with cloud and a few lazy flakes .Can see snow falling just couple of miles away to the south. We are just right on the edge. Still cold at 1c with ground still frozen

Yep, sleety rain on now, and I can just about see it going white up the hill maybe at 150m.

1.6c, moderate rain.  Roll on the next attempt at snow, Met Office app now showing nothing but rain until tomorrow lunchtime.

Afternoon fellow Kilties! Rained this morning, now turned to sleet as was expected. Current temp 1.8c and miserable with it. Hey Ho, so it goes. Ach well, at least I can drool over those charts, but off course, they'll change a great deal nearer the time, eh? Back tae mair pishiness followed by mair dreichness. YeeHaa. Not.

Miserable day here with steady rain since mid-morning though it has eased off a bit recently (until the next front catches up) Cool with the temperature currently 3.7C .

Snow pretty much confined to higher ground inland with this lot I fear. Here is a piccy from the A 827 above Aberfeldy this afternoon at around 350 mtrs asl. Further down it is sleety and slushy I am told. The second picture is from the Birks a couple of days ago with one of the minor waterfalls freezing up.

Ooooo - another belter. In all seriousness, 12z GFS is a cold run for us and that was traditionally the most 'progressive' of the four GFS runs flattening out the jet stream and always seeking to reintroduce SW'lys. How times change....

Cold (but not deep freeze like), cloudy and windy. Little bit of maybe snow. I think!

Had to take a run into Inverurie this afternoon and it certainly struck how marginal this 'event' is/was. On leaving the house around 3:30pm it was snowing at the house (220m asl) but not lying. Only slightly lower down it was definite sleet, but in Inverurie it was 2C and rain. On the way back it was rain pretty much up until the high point at Tillyfourie, where it was snow and lying on the road. Back down the hill and into Alford it was back to rain, until we started climbing back up the hill. I'd say by then, around 5pm, the snow line was around 150m asl and it was snowing heavily at our house with maybe a cm on the driveway that wasn't there when we left.

MetO still has various intensities of sleet and snow through to noon tomorrow but on the radar the front looks to be dying out, so we'll see.

Yep. Snow level appears to be lowering - now snowing on the Foudland cam at around 130m - it was certainly rain earlier
