Congratulations to all you winners out there; nice photos. I'm gazing out on, well, let's be generous and say 1cm of patchy slushy type material that looks to be of nae use to man nor beast.

Temperature 1.5deg.C up from -1.8deg.C at 01:51, humidity is 94%, wind 1 to 4mph swirling all over the shop, pressure 975.1hPa rising slowly, rainfall not recorded but see above, cloud 8/8 cover and the dew point is at 1deg.C.

Hooray! Love seeing all the snow reports. We ended up with about 3 inches of heavy, wet snow here in Morningside.

Better quality snow too. Not powder but not that slushy stuff either! Sadly a bit more drip, drip than yesterday already!

Thought i saw a splodge of snaw on my skylight just now but nope it was bird poop   just very heavy rain and blowing a gale. I see rumblings of a BFTE on the model thread.. im going back to the 2018 thread to see what happened to Ellon that week....

I was in Tarves for that and it was OK.  Not huge amounts of snow but only because of where the shower lines set up.  Very cold though and a lot of drifting so no marginality!

Really yuck outside.  Now exclusively rain, and the heaviest so far today.  Temperature has risen to 1.9c and strong north-northwest wind.  Oh well, looks like the Met office called this correctly after all.

Yep, went from white to wet here overnight sadly.  Well, I suppose I've had my one half-decent snowfall for the winter already so I should be satisfied... nah

Raining here sadly and barely any cover left from last night in the garden, onto the next hunt.... Brilliant pics and great to see 101 getting the type of snow deep enough to really have fun in. Charts seem to keep the theme of colder but marginal briefly mild then colder marginal over last few weeks so hopefully get a dry snow fall before winters out and if not we can just talk home schooling in the thread

Traffic cams don’t look that exciting in inveralmond. How much did you get there. Managed 3cm. Grandparents in Dunfermline got about 8-10cm.

  • April 2024 - Was it that cold overall? A look at the statistics

General perception from many is that April was a cold month, but statistics would suggest otherwise, with the average temperature for the whole month coming in just above the 30 year average for the UK as a whole.
