There certainly seems to be some girth to the showers in teeside and Northumberland. Just need to get them into the middle

Some beefy ones around half an hour away by the look of the radar, here's hoping.

I know i'm being negative and this is IMBY but those streamers again look to be placed ideally for Northumberland and Teeside, with little to nothing for Tyne & Wear & Co Durham. With regard to new warning, yep no showers at all forecast for Whickham or Stanley on their own website Thurs-Fri.

To be honest I have relatives in Canada and whilst their summers are generally nice they have seen an increase in milder winters over the years, it's not always nailed on for them to even get snow.

We will maybe get the odd one, but really we are waiting for the wind direction to change more North easterly. I'm nit going to pay much attention till later on this afternoon

The bands of snow move right down across the whole region as we head into wednesday morning.

Oh, Yes please! I used to live in Catchgate (Low Church Street). Don't think I seen one notable snowfall and I lived there September 2013 - March 2014.

The 2013/2014 winter was by far the poorest one i can ever remember.

Only had a couple of coverings of snow which didn't even survive the day which is unheard of for my location and height.

This winter is like Narnia in comparison.⛄

heavy hail shower here at the moment.

Narnia after global warming has kicked in? The ice queen is now on a beach in Southern Narnia sipping sangria
