Possible.  Just depends on if they develop or decline before they make land.  Showers seem to be doing both

These two?

Latest fax looks great but pretty poor effort so far for Durham CLS Washington areas. The snow has all gone from the city centre now and anything that falls is now just melting within minutes. Oh no think I'm joining nicks negative crew lol

That look promising.   Why didnt the BBC pick up on these troughs.  I only watched the forecast 20 minutes ago

It's been a while since I've seen 3 convergence lines set up like that, just need it to show up in real life now.

Selfishly it looks like the potential streamer incoming is going to be north of the Tyne too.

Come in, there's plenty of room. Though the chairs will give you splinters, which will probably lead to an infection, a visit to A&E, and a resultant case of covid. Still, have a brew. The milk's a bit off, and will probably lead to horrific gut pains, but, you know, this is how we roll.

Those two areas seem to straddle teesside. Most snow has melted now and although cold a nice day in the sun. If one of these streamers fits could get a few inches but looks twenty miles north and south of us

You'll probably find that the sun has that little bit more strength now and even if temp was sub zero all day if sun shone snow would melt a bit. Still lovely to be out in, not long back from my walk and at one point was watching a heavy snow shower come in from the coast and the land in the distance was disappearing but facing the sun I could feel a bit wrmth on my face, magical!

Just the pickup to get rid of lockdown blues))

A word on the sun and its affect on temperatures through February..

There is an old saying 'winters back breaks in mid-February'. What it means is a long freeze is most likely to break by middle of the month I.e. days and weeks of sub-freezing conditions. By mid Feb sun has the same strength it has in late October.

Whilst the ice may still lay thick and solid in places not exposed to the sun well into March, by mid Feb where exposed it is most likely to crack even when air temps may be just above freezing.

Less cold days in late Dec and early Jan far more likely to see ice hold in full sun as happened this year.

There are always exceptions think late Feb 18, but that was due to exceptionally low temps even so I remember seeing snow melt quickly in the sun despite temps below freezing.

Yeah it looks like it’s going to miss Teesside. What a surprise.

The BBC will pick up on them Wednesday when they explain why the non forecast snow happened.

Hi guys, take a look at this, just out of UK radar range but clearly heading your way!

Your going to need a bigger shovel

These are convergence lines or streamers if you prefer that term.

A trough is a more defined feature usually broader in extent and robust in volume  equal distribution. There were a few trough features shown on Saturday but these have disappeared. Would like to see one.

Isn’t this the one that’s hitting South Yorkshire?

Last week, I mentioned  to my Eastern European wife (she knows all about harsh winters) that it'll be sub zero weather and plenty of snowfall to look forward to. A Beast was approaching...  She just derisively raised her eyebrows and shook her head...

I just wish I could've her wrong

I tend to be very wary when forecasters completely downplay an event. Since Saturday we've talked about the low, lack of troughs, high cloud... maybe they saw this and we didn't back on Friday/Saturday.

The MetOffice were forecasting 2-5cm per day or 10-15cm where streamers hit.

If we just took weather forecasts as gospel, then this forum would be pretty redundant wouldn't it.
