I don't anything from tonight here on the Grt Manchester Merseyside border but I've been keeping an eye on the radar now and then out of curiosity. It looks like there is a 'streamer' setting itself up from the North Sea coast through york/leeds heading towards Manchester but it's a very lacklustre looking affair so far. You'd have thought elevation to the east of the region could get something out of this if convection does kick off more - I believe in you North Sea!

Yep a very weak affair so far looked like is was picking up but then dropped back

Lets hope we get a bit more precipitation in the next coming days, not looking good so far for my area but hopefully things will change, temps are looking good further in the week, especially ground temps from Thurs, but just lacking the stuff falling from the sky, seems to be the way.

I've seen heavier precipitation from flying ants.

It is a rather pathetic effort... at least we’ve had days with heavy snow and many days with snow on the ground... can’t complain considering the dire winter last year...

hopefully there’s more snow to come throughout January/February/March ❄️❄️❄️❄️

I agree, however I would expect better shower activity even given the 1025mb.

Heights are too high is the culprit. The same wind & uppers with 25mb lower heights & the radar would be primed.

Sleet falling, the odd large snowflake mixed in.  1c

Snow on the tops but very pitiful. Lol

Was hoping the temporary easterly flow would be strong enough to at least generate a bit more ppn that this.

I think our areas have been the wintriest parts in lowland England during this spell. I still got snow on the ground from the 28th December.

Yeah, likewise. We still have some snow cover from 28 December, well solid ice to be precise! I was traveling across to this area for 10 years for work before I moved and didn't see anything like this recent spell in that time.

Nothing much left in the eastern cupboard after this batch of showers passes through looking at the radar.  Maybe more northern areas could get something wintry in the next few hours.  Think there might be a slight clustering in late afternoon, but I haven't looked at any charts...work beckons.

A few wet snow showers overnight but no evidence remains at this level apart from slush on the car windows.

Bit boring today but this pic popped up on my FB memories, 10 years ago today I had to abort driving to work due to a few people who can't drive in the snow blocking the roads, ahhhh memories!!
