Showers forming a line here now. But it's the mildest time of day. Could fall as rain/sleet. Snow managing to hang on, gonna be icy tonight. Hoping the trough actually sparks off some showers later. Met Office aren't keen on that idea...

You can see snow even on the Great Orme from the Llandudno cafe  webcam and the snow over towards Penmaenmawr and surrounding hills

This North Wales webcam shows views from the West Shore of Llandudno across to Penmaenmawr, Puffin Island, Angelesey and the south west of the Great Orme.

I guess it's just a case of wind direction and height in the case of the orme

Liverpool Airport always seems to be 2–3°C above surrounding areas I don’t know whether it’s the placement of the instruments or what but maximum here was 3.1°C and earlier it was just above 0 yet the airport was reading 3.

Just back from a drive around the Wirral wanted to see the difference in a few miles.

Wallasey 3C concrete

Moreton 3C slushy

West Kirby 4C concrete

Caldy 2C slightly slushy

Thurstaston 2C concrete

Parts of Heswall 2C slushy

Thingwall 2C 1cm of snow cover

Prenton 2C 1cm of snow cover

Birkenhead 2C 1cm of snow cover

& then back home.

So basically even though the Wirral is small, living in those central areas makes all the difference.

Ive been in the river ward side of Heswall today where there isn't any snow like Thurstaston.  I imagine the inland part of Heswall had some remaining of course as it did this morning

Heavy hail/graupel shower here. Nice cloudscapes, can see the hail shafts approaching.

Unfortunately that shower activity doesn't look too exciting

It's clouding over here again now; temps at 2ºC so will see what comes of it...

Yep lol I was going to mention that again. Too close to a jet’s backside I think.

Well in the end I managed to scrape together 3/4 cm and had another slightly muddy sledging day.

Had grauple and snow showers. No rain which is good. Can’t see where this trough is coming from? No forecasts mention organised showers moving through

Well WRF it’s picking up on a small feature early hours Monday morning which could give some snow

500 mb temps are starting to warm now so shower activity will start to diminish. I think Trough has lost its identity

Barn owl has just got up as the last snow shower was ending.  Some breaks in the clouds now.  Temp dropped now to 1.7C.

A bit of a dim picture.  Windows need cleaning!

Also managed to spot a snowman earlier, or was it a duck?

Managed 3 or 4 decent snow showers here. Little or no cover anywhere here. Showers changed readily to a sleety mix after 1pm.

Looking at the pictures posted earlier it looks as though Blackpool had a better covering than we did here.
