@Spah1 That's what can happen, rare, but could be a rare setup like a 91, 96

Brilliant

With a pressure pattern like we’re seeing forecast that is actually how I could see it playing out. Very often organised bands of snow move up the M62 corridor.

It looks like a dragon with a narrow neck and it’s head just above Iceland.

it even has a pair of eyes.

Praying for the snow depths and the 12% battery will last you.

I hope this cold spell comes off.
anything from the East  beats the slushy crap we get from a North Westerly.

my part of the North West usually does ok from an Easterly or North Easterly, obviously not as good as the East part of our region.

Manchester airport now predicts rain and snow with the possibility of snow in the early hours. Of course nothing for Liverpool.

Knife edge situation tonight I reckon, it would seem better chances the further north and east you are & with height. But you won't find me stood by the window at 4am like the Terminator when Arnie was guarding Sarah & John Connor haha. It will probably be a slushfest anyway as Mr Atlantic storms through plus I'm getting a bit old for these all nighters

for you I predict snow until 6:30 with flakes getting progressively bigger. Then turning to ice pellets until 9, changing to freezing rain until 10; then ordinary rain afterwards.

Cheers fingers crossed for some accumulating snow... how much I’ve no idea... been waking up at 6am for the past week so will take a peek if I’m awake again.

Hopefully weekend and next week more widespread snow regionally and lasting longer than a few hours ❄️❄️❄️❄️
