Don't think I saw any forecast that placed the snow as far north west as it's showing today...but make the most of it for those lucky getting the wintry falls now.  All a bit grey & murky here with brief spells of wet sleet every now and then.

Heavy snow here but wet in nature so will never settle in a million years.

Yes noted it seems heavy Morecambe Bay, skies look dark to my east, we are just on the boundary.. not shifting, just a slight shift west please..

I feel for you guys who have not had much snow... but me...I am so lucky this year, first we had the streamer about ten days ago that covered everything with about 4 inch of the good stuff ... that had only melted on the roads and half on the fences but today is a dream come true with so far non stop snow since i woke up at 430am to a covering. The radar is now pushing it all my way ,best day since the December to remember times for me or us snow lovers in Nelson at 160m ASL.

Moderate snow but not sticking as too wet. What are the chances that it’ll snow long enough and the temps will drop low enough to get us a covering? ??❄️

Shows a bit more promise later on as Radar showing a slight shift to more southerly at moment , It could be showing false promises though like usual. image.thumb.png.b44f6cfed0df21802ce50cbf2d3c273d.png

It has been doing it all night and today. It intensifies and then gets squeezed out. Like litting brick sieve!

On my break watching the clouds, low level moving steadily east to west, but the high level clouds seem to be motionless.

Glad someone has got a radar snapshot

This is 4pm according to Met Office, no wonder Alex has closed his eyes, that shows clearing skies into central Lancashire!

Im thinking the front over the west coast hasnt moved which cant allow the second front with hook feature to progress. But i could be wrong with that

Seems like a reasonable explanation, Skies have suddenly darkened with the clouds, hope its pushing through

It’ll probably just sit and fizzle. It’s making no progress

Its getting darker now and the temperatures should be dropping to allow the snow to stick.

Still snowing but nothing sticking. Reminds of December 2017 - both on the Friday & Sunday we had heavy snow, but never looked like sticking......

We have a job getting snow, and when we do it's either a dusting, or it doesn't stick.

And this is the beauty of radar watching and not get sucked in what graphics are saying all the time. Fair play to the GFS model, completely called this hence I said the potential was there for this front to pep up and wave. UKMO model totally woeful and ECM only a tad better.

Snow is a tad heavier again but still struggling to settle, the colder air is there and snow can lie pretty quickly but how much longer is this front going to stick around.

Echoing other reports light snow not sticking and starting to fizzle.

Radar has us for the most intense ppn and it's not moving too far  maybe slightly NW?

A procession of Treales sheep in the lightest of dusting this morning - farmer has just arrived on his Quad with breakfast.
