My only concern is the ground been quite soggy here for example. Its very puddly. Is this gonna scupper things or just rely on heavy snow falling?LOL.

Anything much down in Hutton?  Was supposed to be there 1st week Feb (now cancelled), as we have for the last 14 years, and have regularly seen some snow in the village and over Blakey but not quite that much!

Met office for my area has changed with rain turning to snow a couple of hours earlier.  I hope it's right.

In some places the inversion is being eroded, in some places it is intact. Where it gets eroded sleet is likely from 400m to sea level inland. This will happen until the proper cold air gradually pushes south in the morning.

Largely these areas with eroded inversions are too small to produce any prolonged snowfall.
