Light snow falling here ( Bradford Pudsey border )

Seemed to pep up after me. Enjoy it. We seemed to miss out.

Could someone translate what we are looking at here?

In simple terms the transition to mild weather is getting pushed back that much it might end up not happening and the models are tending for the block to be more stubborn and the movement from west to east is slowing down and being under estimated :). Expect more upgrades tomorrow.

Snowing in Dodworth, only lightly but its sticking to the ground instantly. Could be some fun and games tomorrow ❄️

Is that a near on snow event on the ecm 144 hours given a few tweeks with uppers?

Certainly is! I've been on here long enough to see these little increments to a point where battleground setsup out of no where!

Exactly and with any mild weather been drained out of the equation, we should hopefully see the uppers upgrade. These borderline scenarios are usually the best events. The models know what they want to do, they just cant fit the jigsaw pieces. Thats my thinking.

Started as very light snow for me location in Barnsley but now sleet.  The precipitation moving down from the North East looks to be heading straight for Yorkshire and assuming ut falls as snow, we should get a decent covering.  As always, anywhere with altitude should do best.

Nothing here yet, you can see on the radar not even a spec is getting to the east of Sheffield centre. Just dies out

Some light snow flurries here earlier, settled readily but has barely dusted cars and ground. Still, nice to see. The odd flake still there when I watch the lamppost.

Tomorrow morning looks potentially tricky for high ground, IMO. The more organised precip could quite easily coincide with morning commutes.

Really thought this could have being a good suprise or a total wash out. Was actually exciting when seeing the ecm upgrade this afternoon, the icon and gfs but once again the met office app is on the ball tgerefore producing naff all really! Was icy here before at 145m n a little rain n snow flakes mixed togerther but now the ice has totally thawed! Temps need to drop quickly before that next batch arrives being so light in nature!! Lower dwn esp will have no chance otherwise!!

I will never believr the gfs again if this fails as it re-invigorated precip over us towards morning but just cant see it.

Bbc-10cm lmao.

Met-2-5cm higher ground. Theyll be lucky at this rate. Guess tget have to cover tyeir backs! Could of n looked really good!! But nope not having it.

Expect gfs precip to fall in line with near nothing on nxt update 18z. One lucky spot may just get lucky.
