Damp, drizzly crud this evening, after a wet afternoon, quite mild this evening as forecast,

A really horrible morning here, low cloud/mist, drizzle and unseasonably mild, with heavy cloud and very dull.

Agreed mike57. We didn't get much rain on the coast but it was a generally damp but mild day, with rain in the wind tonight blowing in off the moors. It seems the temperatures here are about to yo-yo as the wind comes around to a N/NW after a cold front moves through.

Mild, with a good breeze this evening, drying things up a bit, until tomorrow!

Just had a really heavy shower pass over here, and Sis-in-Law said there was some hail and a rumble of thunder in Hull 20211020_144717.thumb.jpg.c20fa499adf18c5c5c4411f4312d4279.jpg

Same shower just passed over Carnaby, quite impressive downpour,

Very dark and dismal inland today and heavy rain for a while this afternoon. Cleared this evening but noticeably cooler wind, a sign of things to come perhaps. Starlit sky and (I think) a full moon, and the possibility of seeing meteor showers later on if the cloud doesn't intervene.

Much colder this morning, 6C, showers blowing in on a strong to gale NNW wind off the North Sea. Stove lit, first time this winter we have lit it first thing.

Very wet and blustery in the middle of the night at around 4.15am - it was certainly very lively all of a sudden, so much so it woke me up

The end of my final visit to the N Yorkshire coast in 2021 and it was good to see blue skies and sun before I headed west. A chilly wind which was whipping up the waves but pleased that my final morning in NY was blessed with good autumnal weather. Roll on Easter 2022!

The rains finally arrived on the East coast, doesn't look like it will last too long, good excuse to stay in and watch the Rugby tho,

Really heavy intense rain now, and menacing dark cloud's, a few of the country lanes will be tricky,

Really heavy here too, even a bit of soft hail mixed in. In my workshop repairing a kitchen chair, at least my repairs during the summer to stop some leaks have worked, that was the ultimate test.

Surprised we haven't got a weather warning for heavy rain today. I think a rain rate of 7mm to 8mm should get one.

Horrible morning outside, gusty wind to add to the incessant rain, log burner lit and brew in hand, staying put

Looks like there's some even heavier rain incoming looking at the radar.

Absolutely horrendous morning in Bridlington with winds gusting in excess of 50mph and some very heavy rainfall.

Definitely the worst morning for a long time here and the wind gusts have been very powerful from a south easterly direction.

Heavy rain now ceased here. 25.4mm according to the Davies this morning. Probably a bit high but still an impressive amount. No strong winds.

Just looked at the radar, could be a bumpy few hours ahead?

To the here and now, gusty winds and moderate almost heavy rain to 3/4 blue sky and the sun in less than 10 minutes

Looks like the heaviest rain has passed just to the south of us, looks like Hull and Beverley caught it

Just had an immense but very short lived wind event in Cleethorpes,  it was a bit blowy anyway but all of a sudden debris were flying through the air and the wind was howling. This lasted about a minute then as quick as it began it ended and just returned to the normal gusts we've had all day so far, lovely rainbow to the North as the sun is trying to break through now. Still raining.

The gusts and speed can be seen then within a minute more or less gone..
