Still snowing here. Probably situation much the same - a centimetre or so of lying snow.

In a way, great to see it, but also a little frustrating - there's enough precip for this to be a major snow event, but it's just fractionally too mild for it to really accumulate properly.

Anyway, a nice early winter surprise is probably the way to look at it I think.

Still snowing steadily in Barnsley.  Now having to watch it on the house cctv, as I keep getting glared by the dog every time I get up to look out the window to look at the lampost! 🤣

Still snowing here too with a light covering even on the roads but the PPN isn't that heavy enough to cause concern.

Temps and dewpoint continuing to fall, abeit very slowly.  Now -0.1c temp and -0.3c dewpoint.  The heaviest ppn is passing just south of me but continuing to snow lightly here.

Going by the charts it seems the low pressure is further south ? Temperatures still falling here which is weird, was meant to warm up. Maybe an interesting night to come ?

I definitely think the low is further south. The centre of the low seems to be in the channel, I’m sure ECM showed it coming trough over southern Britain. I could be wrong however?

This is the reason why were getting snow. The air is locked in the cold pool before mixing out.

Had light drizzle here since teatime, damp, cold, foggy evening with everything turning to slush 🙄
