I'm crap at reading these, any idea whether it's definitely going to be snow or is it marginal?

Snow this one to 4 cm  to 6cm my guess.Direct Northerly -7uppers good enough.

Verrry good evening viewing! Looks like there's a sweet spot range of 100 miles or so in it. I'll take the ECM  Further north brings more snow to midlands and mid / north of Wales, with rain to south Wales and coast. If it corrects further south - could miss us all!  Eastern England could be rubbing their hands though!

Whatever way this mini event goes, I'm starting to get excited at the prospects of winter. This week is just the appetiser!

Fingers crossed it doesn't move because it always seems to go pear shaped for us.

I know - always the way isn't it? I think we'll see something. I mean the general thing that happens is it all goes south slightly, we have a bit more leeway our way for that to happen - and it also makes it less marginal too. But whatever happens, there'll be more chances to come. Could be a really special January if the SSW comes off as anticipated - could reinforce what is already a good looking pattern!

I expect with the snow band going west to east, it MAY stall earlier....

It's seems to reach East coast turns and come back obviously a lot weaker.Should see Amber Warming put out tomorrow.

May regain strength on the return as it passes the Bristol Channel/Irish Sea (if it makes it that far)

Temps rising here, now 1c as the band slowly approaches so imagine it will end up just the wrong side of marginal on the coast.

Walked the dog up in Pontrhydyfen earlier this evening. There was light, tiny flakes from a passing cloud. Definitely feels a lot colder tonight. Could be that there was no cloud cover at the time.

Think we will be relying on heavy stuff with a bit of evaporative cooling to get anything remotely sleety out of this tonight 3oc here just ain’t cutting the mustard
