Happy New Year all!

Nice sparkle to everything outside and the moon is amazing.

It was -4°C but gone up a little to -2.8°C but still raw out there.

Here's to a cold and snowy 2021 ❄❄❄

last couple of nights have been frost and ice in the shade. I think these cold nights are laying some good groundwork.

Coldest night of the year low of -6.7c.

it’s now on the rise due to cloud coming in!!

Morning and a Happy New Year from a very frosty Somerset, we might not have snow but everything is very white here. Just stood outside to take a couple of pics, didn't notice the frost had stuck my slippers to the ground, they stayed put, I didn't.....bare feet on a frosty deck, definitely wide awake now  Always amazed how spiky frost crystals are.

Another frost last night and there was the smallest dusting of snow as well! Looks all white

@Andy Bown you won’t be wrong on that.

i must admit looking out I had to double take as I thought we had snow on the ground! The frost is that thick.

I've been blowing bubbles, it's not quite cold enough to entirely freeze a big bubble before it pops, the ring of ice crystals on the big bubble is about as far as I can get them before surface tension breaks. I did manage to get a tiny one to freeze last night, it's still there and now covered in ice crystals too.

A high of 2c mid afternoon yesterday and down to -0.9c at 9pm, temp then rose to a high of 0.1c at 2am
A low this morning of -0.9c at 7:30am.

A little foggy this morning, now cleared, cloudy.
Now -0.5c, 1011.8 hPa, very low NW wind.
No rain or any other precipitation since Tuesday.

Yes a few flakes starting to fall here in Westbury. Looking at the radar, a light dusting could result. At least this time it’s cold enough!
