Dull for most of the day heavy showers and what might have been hail early this morning judging by the sound it was making against the window earlier. 5.2°C

Yep, similar on other side of the hill around Newark Park. A bit of slush on the car windscreen in Wotton - just enough to throw a soggy slushball at the kids.

Went North yesterday to avoid the mucky morning. Bits of sleet over Salisbury Plain.

Got as far as Marlborough, when we found blue skies and Sunshine. Drove back towards Dorsetbred's view on the way back.

Still waiting for a sub zero night here this month, so not quite in cold spell territory just yet. Also looking increasingly likely we’ll be entering a mild spell at the end of the week, so hopefully we’ll scrape a frost before then.

Still no air frost this autumn/winter, min last night was 0.7°C and only 2.2mm rain to 09.00 today.  Some brightness a while ago, but now grey again and some light rain coming down from the NE.  Abandoned idea of a walk.

It got down to 1°C this morning. Car windscreens and shed rooves were frosty, but not the grass.

The forecast this morning went belly up, but in a good way. It was supposed to be cloudy all day, but it has actually been blue skies from start to finish. Temp reached 5.7°C.

On the drive back from Bournemouth to Poole, I passed4 gritting lorries, with one actively deploying grit, seems as though they are expecting to get cold tonight!

That's blown the gritting budget for December!

Gritting lorry went by here earlier... getting foggy and I’m still cold under all these layers.

As my wife pointed out, it is unusual to see a low pull away to the south and leave this sort of view...

She's right, you even have a cloud man waving as the low passes through ..

Morning All, a foggygy start to the morning in sub zero temperatures, overnight low of -0.5°C at: 08:18 and it's still at that right now, with the  RH96% with a light breeze in from the NNE, with the pier lost in the fog..
