Also confirming the storm in Mid Wales is elevated. Sat in back garden in shrewsbury and sky is lighting up every 20-30 seconds along a wide stretch. Nice little light show for us even though it’s 40 miles away!

Thought I'd give it a shot, and saw the occasional flash lighting up the sky hugging the horizon.  Including a really bright one about 2 mins ago.

Now we just need a storm like the one near Birmingham from earlier ;)  then I would be tempted to walk down to the coast lol. Only trouble here is we have two wires which block the photo

Add RSH: Rotherhithe Storm Hole

I’ve had one storm this year from that weird northerly in June but it was decaying rubbish caught one good CG lightning. The rest of storms have has either gone east or west happens very frequently.😡😡

ive not bad a proper storm since May 2018 what’s happened my inner London location which experiences some of hottest weather used to get decent storms every year, now there seems to be more chance of getting real snow. 😞

Same here in the Thames Valley. Everything goes to my East, lifted by the Chilterns.  8 miles away they had consecutive storm days in June, but let me have a consolation prize of yhree rumbles and a flash 🙄

I would love to be standing in the Conwy Valley now somewhere around Penmachno, watching those Welsh storms barrelling towards me.

Watching from the bedroom window and can see the flashes that are 30-40 miles away from here. Love night time lightning 🌩 I

E Cambridgeshire?

Got my eye on that. Moving into the Ely area now, and some more precip now just ahead of it... I did notice turrets of AcCas before the sun went down. Every time I’ve seen them, elevated activity has normally commenced further on in the night! Going to be watching the eastern sky like a sparrowhawk!

Anyone down this way?

Could be becoming a bit more extensive too. It’s heading roughly my way but a good 30-40 miles away yet. All coinciding with the arrival of the AcCas field recently. Might have a gander for any distant flashes

The plot thickens... Thunderstorm symbol at 23:00 from the MO, and a better looking future precipitation sequence for tonight... Fingers are crossed hard enough to break them! Haha

Yeah mine are going to fall off soon. For two excited girls here with me who want to see some lightning. I’m just about to stroll to the prom and see what I can see If anything.
